Jones Beach State Park and the Jones Beach Theatre do not have specific road addresses. For this reason the online maps do not have a data base for Jones Beach. Many web visitors have searched out our web site for directions for Jones Beach and the Jones Beach Theater. Much of the directions are the same as getting to Point Lookout. Jones Beach is located on the south shore of Long Island, just east of Point Lookout. For those concert patrons who are driving to the park use the directions located below for the theatre. This is the hyperlink to a JONES BEACH, web page. At this time, we can not find an "official park" web page.
Please note: Commercial vehicles (Busses and Trucks) are not allowed on Long Island parkways. They may use Parkways south of Merrick Road to access the park.
From south Queens and Brooklyn.....
Take the Belt Parkway east to the Southern State Parkway (eastbound). Drive east to exit 22S (southbound Meadowbrook Parkway - Jones Beach). The Meadowbrook Parkway leads right into the park (after the toll plaza)
Go to direction step 3.
From north Queens and Manhattan
Manhattan drivers use the Queens Midtown Tunnel onto the Long Island Expressway (I 495).
Take the Long Island Expressway (I 495) east (into Nassau County) to exit 38( Northern State Parkway) Go to direction step 2
From Bronx County.... (Da Bronx)
Use the Throgs Neck Bridge to the Clearview Expressway (I 295). Take Clearview Expressway to the Grand Central Parkway * (eastbound). At the Nassau County line, the Grand Central turns into the Northern State Parkway. Go to direction step 2.
Step 2
Once on the Northern State Parkway, go to exit 31A for the 
(southbound - Jones Beach). The Meadowbrook Parkway leads right into
Jones Beach.
From eastern Nassau and Suffolk counties
Use the Northern State to the Wantagh Parkway south. The Wantagh Parkway leads right into the park.
Visitors from Eastern Suffolk could use the Sagtikos Parkway south and follow signs to the Robert Moses Causeway south towards Fire Island. After the drawbridge, exit off to the Ocean Parkway west. Follow Ocean Parkway west to Jones Beach State Park.
Step 3
Visitors to the park need to pay for parking at the toll plazas. Signs are posted on the parkways for the fees.
Directions to the Jones
Beach Theater.
From the Meadowbrook Parkway, once you pass the toll plaza you will cross the final bridge and enter the park. Once you enter the park, follow the Ocean Parkway east towards the water tower. Pass the water Tower and continue east on Ocean Parkway and make the first U turn around from the Left lane. Approach the theatre from the westbound lanes.
From the Wantagh Parkway - Approach Jones Beach from the Wantagh Parkway and follow signs to the theatre via the Bay Parkway. This parking lot will allow direct access back to the Wantagh Parkway northbound.
From Eastern Long Island - Approach Jones Beach from Robert Moses/ Ocean Parkway routes. Drive west into the Jones Beach park and enter the parking lot from the parkway.
NOTES ABOUT THE JONES BEACH THEATER.
Parking fees are not collected for the theater's parking lots. The $5.00 vehicle use fee is added on to each ticket.
No alcohol is allowed with-in the facility. This includes consumption of alcohol in the parking lots.
State park police enforce all State Park laws.
Handicapped parking and seating is available. Please check the theater's website for all information on Handicapped access.
There are no gas Stations within the Jones Beach Park. Nearest 24 hour Stations are located on route 27 (Sunrise Highway) and route 27a Merrick Road. Local gas stations are located in Point Lookout, however, these station's hours are limited.
